PEDIGREE Foundation Celebrates 15th Birthday with Announcement of 2023 Grant Cycle
The PEDIGREE Foundation, a national organization dedicated to helping animal shelters and animal adoption organizations, is celebrating its 15th anniversary with the launch of their 2023 grant cycle. Since its inception in 2008, the PEDIGREE Foundation has provided essential support to more than 3,500 animal organizations across the United States.
Grants Support Animal Shelters, Adoptions and Other Programs
While most grants from the PEDIGREE Foundation are used to support programs that provide direct animal care, such as vaccinations, food and shelter, the Foundation also funds other supportive programs. These include professional development training for animal welfare workers, animal adoption programs, behavior and training programs, and spay/neuter initiatives.
Flexible Grants Help Drive Change
The PEDIGREE Foundation’s grant program is designed to be flexible. The Foundation wants to fund programs that address the root causes of pet homelessness and abandonment, and make long-term, sustainable improvements to an organization’s services. To this end, they offer grants in three categories: general, development, and project-specific.
General grants are used to support organization’s annual operations costs, while development grants are specifically geared toward helping organizations improve their access to resources and capacity to provide services. Project-specific grants target specific projects with clear goals and measurable impact.
Grant Applications Now Open
The PEDIGREE Foundation is inviting animal organizations to apply for their 2023 grant cycle. Organizations in all 50 states are eligible to apply and there are no restrictions on their size or type.
The Foundation evaluates applications on a rolling basis and encourages organizations to submit their applications as early as possible. Organizations should provide clear descriptions of their programs and a detailed budget of their planned expenditures.
The deadline for applications is October 31, 2022.
